Last year, as I launched Decluttering at the Speed of Life into the world, I went on a book tour. I looked for places in different regions of the country where I could connect with existing kindred spirits and meet new ones.
That’s how I ended up speaking at The Becoming Conference just outside of Asheville, North Carolina.
I had no idea how much I’d fall in love with this particular conference. Started years ago by Jen Schmidt of Balancing Beauty and Bedlam, its mission is to provide a relaxing environment where you can connect and learn.
That’s exactly what I experienced there, and I came away so refreshed. The setting at Lake Junaluska is absolutely beautiful and is right on the lake. The people are truly lovely and there’s lots of time to just enjoy one another between sessions of learning about creativity, family, home, decorating and more.
This year, I’m honored to be one of the co-hosts of the conference, and I’ll be speaking!
If you’re looking for a getaway with some friends or for yourself, check out this conference. It will be on July 28 and 29. It would be so fun to meet you there! Tickets for the conference itself are $100, which is a great price for two days of sessions. Lodging and meals are purchased separately, but the costs are very reasonable to stay onsite, especially if you split your room with friends. You can buy meal tickets to eat in the conference center’s cafeteria, and the food was really, really good!
Go here to find out more, buy tickets, and check out the lodging options.
Registration is now open and anyone who buys their ticket before March 31 will be entered to win two free conference workshops (furniture painting, crafting, calligraphy, etc.) AND two free boat cruises on beautiful Lake Junaluska!
There are lots of classes included in your conference ticket, but there are additional hands on workshops held before the conference officially starts that are what someone will win!
If you decide to go, or might go and want to stay in the loop, be sure to sign up for this email list so I can contact you about a time when we’ll meet up as a group of readers/listeners from here at A Slob Comes Clean.
